- Complete payroll practice management
The new Payroll Center provides a comprehensive tool for managing every client’s payroll data no matter which client is currently open. Accountants can review information on payrolls pending, tax due dates, e-services applications, auto e-filing, and much more, all for their entire client base. This unique feature transforms their practice into a state-of-the-art payroll service bureau.
Accountants can also use Payroll Relief’s new Reminders feature to alert clients and staff about important dates and tasks. For example, accountants can remind clients when a payment is due, or to make sure they’ve deposited funds on time, or that a new hire form need to be submitted. - Easier employer setup
Payroll Relief 2.0 now offers unlimited, fully customizable pay types and allowances for greater flexibility. There are no restrictions on the number of Custom, Allowance, or Reimbursement pay types; instead, accountants can define as many of these types as they wish. For example, one can pay unionized employees different rates for different job assignments, and can track worker’s compensation more precisely. Fringe benefits are now included as pay types, allowing the accountant to process multiple fringe benefits (such as health insurance for a 2% shareholder) with any payroll. Several pay types have also been added specifically for contractors.

Accountants can now build their own fully customizable report sets. In addition to the default Payroll Set, which includes all the reports needed when each payroll is processed, they can build multiple custom sets consisting of any reports from any of Payroll Relief’s report menus. - A new E-Services Dashboard
The new E-Services Dashboard serves as the command center for all aspects of electronic services. Here the accountant can enable or disable different e-services including direct deposit, child support, prefunding, and so forth for each active employer. This dashboard also provides an instant view to all electronic service information for the active employer, including all recent debit transactions, all direct deposits for the latest due date, and all e-filing and ACH returns and rejections.
- Dramatically expanded payroll processing and reports for contractors
Contractor setup has been enhanced to provide many options once available only for employees, including several customizable pay types specific to contractors, and a number of deductions. Many new reporting capabilities are also now available for contractors, and other existing reports can be filtered by contractor.
- More flexible check printing
For clients where payrolls are submitted from remote locations, paychecks can now be printed from separate bank accounts at any of the company’s locations.
